Hadley Sells Transit Mirror Line to Safe Fleet

Hadley has sold its transit mirrors product line and related operations in Elkhart, Indiana, to Safe Fleet, a division of The Sterling Group that is headquartered in Belton, Missouri, and operates businesses in the commercial vehicle market.

Hadley has sold its transit mirrors product line and related operations in Elkhart, Indiana, to Safe Fleet, a division of The Sterling Group that is headquartered in Belton, Missouri, and operates businesses in the commercial vehicle market.

Brands include: Pretoria, SMI, Prime Design, ROM, Bustin, SpecFlor, Transpec and FoamPro. Hadley is headquartered in Grandville, Michigan, and will continue to develop its full line of transit interiors, air horns, suspension controls and mirror systems for heavy duty customers.

During 11 years of ownership, Hadley leveraged its brand and technology to become the market leader for transit mirrors. The Elkhart-based team built a reputation for designing advanced mirror configurations, providing a safer experience for the driver and passengers.

The Sterling Group has a 30-year history of supporting operational improvements by providing a network of organizational resources to their companies. They currently have two other companies in Elkhart, giving them established ties to the people and local commerce there.

Hadley’s team will continue to design, manufacture and distribute interior systems and innovative suspension control solutions such as the SmartValve and the Smart Air Management System (SAMS). These advanced air suspension control systems are providing fleet customers solutions, by improving driver safety, comfort, productivity and retention.
