Online body repairs through new Web site

Nov 2, 2004 3:18 PM

Bodybuilder JC Payne has launched a new Web site (www.bodyfixit.com) that will allow customers to order and track parts or call out assistance. According to CV News Brief, the firm says its move is part of its drive to revolutionise the UK bodybuilding industry.

“'This is the first step toward a full e-commerce solution for customers,' said Duncan Blake, general manager at JC Payne's FleetAssist aftersales support and mobile repair service.

He said that the bodybuilding industry has played the poor relation to truck makers for too long.

“We think customers expect the same standards of service from bodybuilders as they get from van and truck makers,” he said.

The new website will help customers find parts by description or part number, check availability and give them access to a fast, nationwide bodywork parts delivery service. There is also a call-out service, available 24/7 to fix a visit by a FleetAssist engineer.
