Reading Truck Group announced that it completed the acquisition of three upfitting facilities from PalFleet Truck Equipment Company effective March 9, pursuant to a previously executed purchase agreement. The three facilities acquired are Nashville, TN, Council Bluffs, IA, and Indianapolis, IN.

With these additions, the number of Reading distribution and upfitting facilities has increased to 13 facilities in 11 states.

PalFleet is currently in the process of shutting down its operations at its Louisville, KY site, which it expects to complete within 60 days. Upon completion of such shut down, Reading plans to acquire the PalFleet Louisville facility and certain associated tangible assets, as well as assume remaining customer commitments associated with the site. Reading will continue to serve the work truck upfit and distribution business in the area through its existing Louisville operation.

“The acquisition of these PalFleet locations expands chassis pool availability in the Midwest, enhances service accessibility and elevates brand awareness, from which all Reading distributors can benefit,” said Tom Reynolds, President of Reading Truck Group. “We are excited to welcome the former PalFleet employees from the three facilities we acquired today to the Reading team as we continue to build a best in class work truck manufacturing and distribution business.”
