Long-term employees Sam Trelow and Toby Pierce, along with James Trelow, joined together to purchase Parkhurst Mfg. Co., a manufacturer of truck bodies founded in 1946 in Sedalia, MO.

In its 71-year history, Parkhurst Mfg. has never been offered for sale prior to this deal.

“We have great respect for the Parkhurst family and a deep appreciation for its history and the legacy the family has established and nurtured over the past 71 years,” says President/CEO Sam Trelow.

Sam Trelow started working for Parkhurst Mfg. over 32 years ago and is knowledgeable in every area of the business.  Before assuming the roles of President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board in October 2016, he served much of his tenure as Vice President of Sales.  Over the years, his son, James Trelow, developed an appreciation for the company and an interest in the industry, making this opportunity a natural fit for him as well.  Now serving on the board of directors, James brings nearly 15 years of sales, marketing, and leadership experience to the company.

“The core values that are synonymous with Parkhurst will continue to influence the way we run the company, and these values will remain and guide us as we look to the future.  We will continue the same focus the Parkhurst family had on serving our customers better than anyone else in the industry,” says James Trelow.

In addition to his ownership in Parkhurst Mfg., Toby Pierce has been promoted to Vice President of Sales.  In his new role, Pierce will be responsible for overseeing sales operations and management.
