Morgan Olson LLC has been awarded a contract from the U S Postal Service to build 6,533 left-hand-drive walk-in delivery vehicles.
The contract will begin in January and runs through November 2017.
Morgan Olson has had a long-standing relationship with USPS.
With the walk-in design, drivers are able to enter the van on the passenger side. That reduces their exposure to traffic and decreases overall stop time.
Morgan Olson is based in Sturgis, Michigan, and is owned by J B Poindexter & Company.
