Officials of Marion Body Works, Inc. and Consolidated Construction Co., Inc. ceremonially broke ground for a new Marion Body Works headquarters in Appleton, Wisconsin.
The new headquarters will be built at the company’s current Marion location, along with the expansion of an existing manufacturing facility.
“With this new facility, we will be able to compete at the global level and continue to attract top talent from around the state,” said Curt Ignacio, CEO of Marion Body Works. “I’d like to personally thank our employees and management for their commitment and contribution to this project, and also the City of Marion and Common Council for their assistance during the planning process.”
“One of the great joys in celebrating this expansion is knowing its positive impact on the community,” he added.
Tom Pamperin, President of Premier Community Bank and a member of Marion’s Economic Development Corporation spoke at the event. Pamperin reiterated the company’s impact on the community, saying “New, incoming businesses get a great deal of fanfare, but retaining and growing existing companies is equally important.”
And the impact reaches beyond economics, Pamperin explained, “When I’m driving down the road and see a truck from Marion Body, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride.”
