Wabash Signs RoadRailer Agreement with India’s Kirloskar Pneumatic

Wabash National Corporation today announced that it signed a license agreement with Kirloskar Pneumatic Co. Ltd. (KPCL) for Wabash's RoadRailer intermodal system. Wabash National Corporation today announced that it signed a license agreement with Kirloskar Pneumatic Co. Ltd. (KPCL) for Wabash's RoadRailer intermodal system.

Under the terms of the agreement, Wabash National has granted KPCL the rights to manufacture and sell RoadRailer intermodal products in India. RoadRailer is a unique technology with the flexibility of an over-the-road trailer that is specially equipped for railroad intermodal service. It is particularly adaptable for countries that are developing freight infrastructures.

"Wabash National is pleased to provide a RoadRailer license to KPCL," said Dick Giromini, president and CEO of Wabash National. "This agreement will allow Wabash National and KPCL to participate in the rapidly growing Indian market, and enable KPCL to provide India with this innovative technology as the country modernizes its transportation infrastructure."

Kirloskar Pneumatic Co. Ltd., based in Pune, India, is part of Kirloskar Group of Companies, a multi-billion dollar engineering conglomerate driving critical industries. The Kirloskar Group of Companies specialize in areas such as power, construction, mining, agriculture, transportation, oil and gas, and environment protection, with a range of world-class industrial products and turnkey services. KPCL, established in 1958, manufactures air-compressors, air conditioning, air refrigeration compressors, traction gears and transmission equipment.
