Towmaster, Inc. is expanding with a 15,000-square-foot facility that is phase one of a three-phase plan. The current expansion will primarily be used to increase the paint drying area, decking/finishing area, and service area and sub-assembly phases.

Said Lennie Stulc, President of Towmaster, “We have taken steps to streamline and increase the manufacturing processes to increase production. The addition of a second shift met the demand for a while, but eventually you just run out of room in the support areas to keep up with the increased production.”

Stulc said that phase two will increase the footprint of the fabrication department.

“That addition will be approximately 26,000 square feet to house a larger capacity plasma cutting table, 750-ton press brake, material handling equipment, and several other fabricating machines,” he said.

According to Stulc, the investment will allow Towmaster to increase capacity and meet the criteria for new models that are scheduled for release, both in the trailer and truck equipment divisions.

The third phase will increase the capacity for the truck equipment division. A 25,000-square-foot building will allow Towmaster to further streamline the upfitting processes and keep up with the demand for its services. New products that are in the design phase to meet new markets will definitely require more capacity.

“We are very fortunate that our products are in high demand,” he said. “Our dealers throughout the country and in Canada have done a fantastic job of solving their customer’s transportation needs with Towmaster products. The truck equipment division has been a very successful addition to our product offerings and continues to grow, both in sales and new market opportunities.”
