Several northwest Indiana counties, including Jasper, where Talbert Manufacturing is located, have declared a snow emergency "effective until further notice." No travel is permitted on country roads unless an emergency exists, so Talbert Manufacturing said it “regrettably” had to close its plant today.
“We anticipate re-opening Tuesday, although conditions are not expected to improve drastically in our area until probably Wednesday,” said Greg D. Smith.
