Rockland Flooring announces the acquisition of Nelson International's Trailer Components Division. Founded by David Nelson in 1972, Nelson has spent more than three decades supplying components for trailer and truck body manufacturers worldwide. Over the years, Nelson has also developed an extensive network of suppliers throughout Asia and South America dedicated to the manufacture of products for the trailer industry.

Marc Chorney, chief executive officer of Rockland Flooring, said, “Nelson is a great fit for us on many levels. They have a very attractive customer base, and their supplier network is established and efficient. This acquisition enables us to supply all wood components required in any type of trailer, which has been a stated goal of Rockland since our inception.”

Rockland Flooring is based in Red Wing MN and specializes in production of laminated oak and maple flooring for dry freight vans, containers, and truck bodies. The firm operates four laminated flooring plants in North America as well as an import division based in Monon IN.
