Polar Corporation announced that Frank Lukacs has been named president of its Polar Tank Trailer division.

Lukacs joins Polar with more than 33 years of leadership experience in manufacturing businesses. Lukacs served most recently as president and CEO of Morton Metalcraft, a large fabrication supplier to the off-highway, construction and agricultural industries. Prior to that, Lukacs was global senior vice president of manufacturing and quality at AGCO, a $7 billion leading agricultural equipment manufacturer. Lukacs has also held positions at Dresser, Case/CNH Corporation, Simpson Industries and General Motors.

Lukacs has a master’s of science degree in management from GMI Engineering & Management Institute and a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from GMI.

“We are delighted that Frank Lukacs is joining Polar,” said Ted Fick, president and CEO of Polar Corporation, and a member of Polar’s board of directors. “He is a proven leader with an impressive track record of leading manufacturing businesses to outstanding operating results.”

Lukacs replaces Randy Arlt, who served as the division president since 2003 and has accepted a new role at Polar’s corporate headquarters as vice president of business development. Randy will be leading a strategic initiative to further build on Polar’s dramatic growth and operational excellence emphasis, said Fick.
