Kögel led all European trailer manufacturers in 2014, with sales that were 19% higher than in 2013.

A total of over 173,000 trailers were registered throughout Europe in 2014—8 percent more than 2013. The registration figures show a varied development in Europe, with sales decreasing in some countries yet increasing in others.

Kögel remains the third-largest trailer manufacturer in Europe and even managed to close the gap to the other two major competitors further and widen the gap to No. 4.

According to the registration figures for 2014 published by the Federal Motor Transport Authority, Kögel sold 12.5 percent more trailers in Germany than in 2013. The 2014 statistics for Italy also shine a positive light on Kögel compared with the previous year. Whereas the market grew by almost 5 percent, Kögel sold 524 trailers, thus more than tripling its sales year-on-year. Kögel also managed to improve its position in many other countries. In Austria, for example, Kögel boosted its market share to 12.7 percent in 2014.

"The above-average growth of Kögel's market shares in many European countries is clearly down to our new sales structure, which we will continue to develop further," comments Thomas Heckel, Kögel's CEO. "We expect for our sales figures to carry on growing slightly in 2015 despite the continuing volatility in the European commercial goods transport sector."
