Dorsey Trailer, founded in 1911 and acquired by Pitts Enterprises in 2007, is celebrating the two-year anniversary of the first trailer built under Pitts’ ownership.

“We are honored to have Dorsey Trailer as a part of our manufacturing family. Dorsey has been an industry leader since its inception nearly a century ago. We are confident Dorsey will continue that legacy for years to come,” said Jeff Pitts, President and CEO of Pitts Enterprises, Inc. “I believe our success through these difficult economic times is a testament to the strength of the Dorsey brand and the quality of the trailers we produce. We would like to thank our customers for their continued loyalty and thank our dealers for their unparalleled support.”

The Dorsey manufacturing plant is an 800,000-square-foot facility in Elba, Ala.

Dorsey supplies the trucking industry with a wide variety of trailer designs, including dry vans, reefers, flat beds, drop flat beds, extendable flats/drops, wood chip vans, deep drop vans, mobile classrooms/labs, and other custom transportation products.
