Platform manufacturer Doonan Specialized Trailer LLC has introduced their recent design and build of a New Tritoon Boat trailer.
To meet our customer’s expectations, the team designed a galvanized steel trailer where the floor of the trailer is actually below the main beams, according to the company. This allows two boats to stack on top of each other using a third party boat rack. In addition to hauling two tritoon boats on the main rack, which mount into custom stake pockets, the trailer also features a pull-out on the rear, so that a third boat can sit in back.
The tail-back panel allows the rear tail lights to be behind the boat, and it also supports the load. Smaller 17.5” tires keep the trailer as low as possible, and a custom fifth wheel hitch attaches under the bed of the truck, like a car hauler. Driving down the road, the 7’ specialized kingpin tongue is only about 14” off the ground. All of these features are engineered to allocate more height to the boat rack and tritoons loaded on it.
