Utility Trailer opens new PDC

Mar 31, 2011 11:41 AM

Utility Trailer Manufacturing held the grand opening of its new parts distribution center Wednesday in Batavia, Ohio.

The 243,000-sq-ft facility is triple the size of its previous parts distribution center in nearby Sharonville, Ohio.  The building, constructed on a 21-acre site, provides 10,000-sq-ft of offices, parking spaces for 36 trailers, and 24 dock doors for quicker shipping and receiving.

The PDC only sells to Utility Trailer dealers, but it ultimately benefits Utility customers.

“The new Batavia Parts Distribution Center is part of our commitment to meet the needs of our dealer network,” says Stephen Bennett, vice-president.

Over 5,000 stocked items and 200 Utility aftermarket parts suppliers are currently shipping from the new location.
The move is part of Utility’s strategic plan to provide a centralized shipping point for reaching all of North America and to increase capacity to meet demands by offering more parts from more suppliers.
