Utility introduces 4000A composite flatbed

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company announced the introduction of the 4000A, a composite flatbed featuring an aluminum/steel composite design.
The new Utility 4000A is both stronger and more durable than the 2000A flatbed while reducing tare weight by over 400 pounds. Utilizing the 2000A one-piece plasma-cut main beam webs and 80,000 lb. frame rating, the 4000A includes the increased strength of a newly designed 80,000 psi high tensile steel, hat-shaped main beam top flange.
A Hendrickson narrow hanger AANT 23k spread air ride suspension cushions the ride, and the main beams are contoured at the rear for uniform axle loading.
“The 4000Aä flatbed raises the standard of strength and durability for a light weight flatbed,” said Craig Bennett, Utility’s senior vice-president of sales and marketing. “With fuel costs and operating demands rising, this new model offers owner-operators and fleets a fuel efficient and durable alternative to other light weight flatbeds.”
The new flatbed has been designed and tested on Utility’s own real-world test track to ensure reliability.
