GE purchases 1,000 Krone curtainside trailers

With a planned purchase from GE for 1,000 semitrailers, trailer manufacturer Krone has received the largest single order in the history of both companies.
The Krone Profi Liner and Mega Liner curtainside semitrailers will be operated by the Denmark-based global logistics group DFDS Transport Group A/S and leased through GE's TIP Trailer Services, a trailer rental and leasing company. All vehicles are designed for ferry and train shipping.
DFDS Transport Group A/S is the largest carrier in Denmark. It operates within the DSV-group with about 11,000 employees worldwide. GE's TIP Trailer Services has more than 38 years of experience in the trailer rental and leasing business. It has a fleet of some 70,000 vehicles.
