Nov 1, 2011 2:44 PM

Solus Solutions and  Technologies showcased 10 EPA-  and CARB-certified products at the recent 2011  American Trucking  Assns. Maintenance Conference & Exhibition in  Grapevine, TX.

Among the products displayed were seven versions of its split skirt  configuration. The split skirt offers fuel savings exceeding 5%,  Solus  said, and the unique design allows easy access to the undercarriage of   the trailer.

The split skirts include 8 in. of static ground clearance,  rugged  flex skirt panels that offer 20 in. of total ground clearance, and weigh   less than 200 lbs.

Solus has also created a wheel cavity cover using NASA’s  deep cavity  flow control technology. The cover allows unlimited access to the  lug nut  and axle oil lube level without removing the device while providing  1.3%  in fuel savings, the company said.
