Pitts Trailers enters heavy-haul market

Jan 1, 2009 12:00 PM

Pitts Trailers has unveiled a new line of custom, high-capacity lowboys, led by the LB65-20DD.

“Bigger. It's the logical next step for our product line,” said Jeff Pitts, president of Pitts Enterprises. “Equipment continues to increase in size. Combine that with more stringent DOT regulations, and we were provided a perfect opportunity to continue to grow our company and support our customers.”

The Pitts LB65-20DD hauls 65 tons in 16 feet at 20 inches of loaded deck height; the 3+2 drop side rail design has a number of configuration options. The Pitts East Coast design is completely modular to allow the booster axles to be close-coupled or spread with the use of a 14'-1" or 16'-1" spreader bar. Nitrogen accumulation systems, modular decks, and beam applications are all available upon request.
