Fontaine Trailer Expands Revolution Line with New Dropdeck Model

Fontaine Trailer is launching a 48' x 102" dropdeck trailer that weighs only 9,300 lbs -– the new Fontaine Revolution Hybrid Dropdeck. The patented design is lighter and stronger and boasts a concentrated load capacity of 54,000 lbs in just 5 ft.
The Fontaine Revolution Hybrid Dropdeck features a unitized design made possible by technology borrowed from the aerospace industry. With steel main beams with an extruded aluminum floor, the design maintains the integrity of the trailer geometry under load and under centrifugal force for superior handling, reduced tire wear and improved fuel economy, Fontaine said.
The stability of the design virtually eliminates “side-bow” so secured loads are less likely to shift in transit, the company said, reducing the chance of rollover.
An integrated load securement system makes loading and unloading faster.

The trailer is part of the Revolution series from Fontaine, which also includes the all-aluminum Revolution 60 and Revolution 52 flatbed trailers, and the Revolution Hybrid composite flatbed trailer.
