OMCO president and CEO Gary Schuster has been selected as the winner for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2013 Northeast Ohio in the distribution and manufacturing category.
An independent panel of judges selected the finalists and winners who were honored at a gala event at the Marriott Downtown Cleveland last Thursday night. Winners were announced in nine categories.
“I am very honored to have been selected for this prestigious award,” said Schuster. “The credit for our accomplishments is shared with all of our employees at OMCO. We are fortunate to have an extremely dedicated group.”
Schuster joined OMCO in 2008 and brought with him over 30 years of experience in industrial manufacturing. His initiatives resulted in a sales increase of 816% between 2009 and 2012. To support this tremendous growth rate, two new facilities were built and the company’s workforce grew by 800 employees.
