The National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) has made enhancements to its Member Verification Program (MVP), which includes recognized distributors, manufacturers and upfitters who have implemented quality business practices and have verified compliance with specific government safety regulations.

The refinement of the program will include implementing two new optional MVP criteria and further modifying two existing criteria. These program improvements will allow NTEA members to gain greater recognition by demonstrating their commitment to achieve excellence.

Implementation of the two new optional criteria will go into effect July 1. The first criterion addition is to provide documentation of a written or published Environmental or Sustainability Policy. The second new criterion requires companies to have written and documented customer Post-Sale Follow-up Processes. In addition, the Quality Assurance Program criterion will become required and the already-required Certified Shop Employees criterion will increase from having 10% of the shop employees certified to 20% in order to meet MVP status.

“With the introduction of updated criteria, we have raised the MVP designation to an even higher level to help showcase the quality and customer service efforts of our members on behalf of the industry,” said NTEA Executive Director Jim Carney.

The NTEA has underwritten and provides this program so that members can participate free of charge to show their commitment to quality, safety and professionalism.
