Polar Service Centers has  opened a second, larger location in Portland, Ore., specializing in parts,  service, and major repairs for all makes of bulk tank trailers and tank bodies.

The new Polar Service Center facility is located at 6309 N.E. Columbia Blvd. in  Portland, just south of Portland International Airport. Open from 6 a.m.  to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, it has six service bays and is ASME National  Board R-stamp certified.

“This is perhaps the best-equipped shop in the region to perform significant  repair work on commercial tanks,” said Mike Evans, president of Polar  Service Centers. “It also has the inventory to be the leading source of  aftermarket parts for dry and liquid bulk tank trucks and trailers in the  Portland area.”  

Other services at Portland include CHM-183 and DOT inspections; tractor  rig-outs and tank-trailer customization; and sales of new and used tank  trucks and trailers.  

Evans added that the Portland location is an excellent complement to the Polar  Service Center Express Shop in Vancouver, Wash. Less than 10 miles away,  the Vancouver facility provides customers with a convenient location for  periodic tank inspections, maintenance, and all-makes parts.
