Highway Equipment Co moves to larger site

Highway Equipment Co has relocated from its two-block facility near downtown Cedar Rapids IA to more than 50 acres of open land south of the city. The new 128,000-square-foot building houses the entire production floor as well as all offices.
The company, which manufactures New Leader fertilizer and lime spreaders as well as Hi-Way deicing spreaders and road maintenance equipment, had been at the previous D Avenue location since its inception in 1939.
