Fisher spreader's more than worth its salt

Fisher Engineering introduced its new Model 2500 low-profile tailgate spreader. The Model 2500 is the largest “salt-only” low-profile tailgate spreader manufactured by the company.
Features of the new Model 2500 include a 9.5-cubic-foot-capacity high-density polyethylene hopper with a molded polyethylene cover; a ⅓-horsepower, 12-volt high-torque motor in a sealed housing in the hopper; and an adjustable feed gate with positive material flow shut-off and adjustable material deflectors.
The spreader also has a 15-inch polyurethane spinner, a Class IV receiver hitch mount with nylon ratchet straps, and the choice of an on/off blast switch or variable-speed control.
