Wabash Names New Vice-President

Wabash National Corporation has named Arthur R Brown, 50, to the position of vice-president, chief operating officer.

Brown will be responsible for all manufacturing operations as well as the purchasing, quality, and industrial engineering functions of the company. He brings to Wabash a background that includes over 25 years of diversified manufacturing experience. Most recently he was vice-president of Fram/Autolite, responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations in a group of eight plants. Brown spent 15 years with Texas Instruments Corporation, including service as operations manager for the company’s Defense Systems and Electronics Group which earned the Malcom Baldridge National Quality Award in 1992.

Wabash also announced that it has selected Heidrick & Struggles International, an executive search firm, to assist the company in identifying candidates for the position of chief executive officer.
