Wabash National Corporation announced April 23 that William Greubel has been appointed president and chief executive officer of the Wabash, Indiana, trailer manufacturing company.

Greubel joins Wabash from Accuride Corporation where he had served as a director and CEO since January 1998 and president between 1994 and 1998. Other experience includes sales, marketing and operational positions with AlliedSignal Corporation, most recently as vice-president and general manager for the Environmental Catalysts and Engineering Plastics businesses. Greubel holds a B A in economics and an MBA from Rutgers University.

The announcement comes one day after Jerry Ehrlich, former president and CEO, resigned from the company’s board of directors.

“We would like to thank Jerry for his long-standing service to Wabash’s stockholders,” said John Hackett, chairman of the Wabash board of directors.
