Truck sales down 13% in November

Franchised dealers of U.S. truck manufacturers experienced a 13.8% drop in units sold in November over the same period a year ago, according to data published by Ward's Communications.

Retail sales were at 569,470 units, compared to 661,016 in November 2001.

The biggest drops were seen in Class 3 (37.7%) and Class 4 (34.9%). The healthiest gains were seen in Class 6 (22.6%) and Class 8 (17.7%).
