Terex awarded government contract for trailer-mounted floodlights

Mar 10, 2004 12:00 PM

Terex Power has been awarded a $3 million dollar government contract to supply the U S Army Corp of Engineers with 427 of the company’s RL 4000 portable, trailer-mounted, generator-powered floodlight systems.

The Terex Light Equipment Division out of Rock Hill, South Carolina will be in charge of manufacturing the equipment to fulfill this order.

According to government specifications, the portable light towers to be purchased must include generators, be towable and have a 30-foot extendable and retractable reach with lock in positions. While Terex has been the recipient of many government contracts in the past, this is the Light Equipment division's largest contract to date.
