Second straight week of diesel price increases

For the second straight week, the average retail price for diesel nationally rose 0.5 cents per gallon. According to analysts, the fierce winter weather contributed to the largest price increases -- in the Northeast, where the price rose by one cent, and in Central Atlantic states. In California, there was a 0.4-cent drop in diesel prices.
