Scientific Brake & Equipment Company will hold the grand opening of its new Gaylord, Michigan, facility on Sept. 26-27, coinciding with Scientific’s 75-year anniversary.

Scientific’s new 16,000-square-foot facility, which is located at 1455 Dickerson Road just south of the Otsego County Airport, more than doubles the size of its previous operation. The new building includes (7) service bays, 2,500-square-feet of warehouse space and a 5,000-square-foot showroom.

“The opening of our new facility couldn’t come at a better time. It coincides with Scientific’s 75th anniversary and 25 years since we opened our first store in Gaylord,” says John Princing, president of Scientific Brake & Equipment Company. “We invite everyone – our customers, the community and our suppliers – to come and see our new facility and be part of our grand opening celebration.” Scientific got its start in Saginaw in 1928 by designing a machine that increased the mechanical advantage of mechanical brakes. Then in the 1930s with the advent of hydraulic brakes and government mandated brakes on trailers, Scientific became a major parts and service center for brake systems and other aftermarket replacement parts.

Today, Scientific is a dealer for numerous manufacturers of trailers and truck equipment in addition to its extensive aftermarket parts and service offerings.
