Peterbilt Model 330 gets highest J.D. Power rating

Dec 13, 2002 12:00 PM

For the second consecutive year and third time in four years, Peterbilt Motors Co.'s Model 330 ranks highest in the J.D. Power and Associates Medium Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction Study in the conventional medium-duty truck segment.

"To earn this honor two years in a row shows that Peterbilt is providing its medium-duty customers with vehicles of superior quality, comfort and reliability," said Peterbilt gm Nick Panza.

According to J.D. Power and Associates, the study focuses on six major areas of vehicle ownership: vehicle quality; vehicle engine; vehicle transmission; ride, handling and braking; vehicle cab interior; and exterior design and styling. It is based on interviews with more than 2,000 owner-operators and fleet managers of two-year-old medium-duty trucks.

Panza said the vehicle's versatility and Peterbilt's custom manufacturing make the Class 6-7 Model 330 well suited for a wide variety of applications, including P&D, beverage, municipal, dump, fire and rescue, crane, mixer, refuse and utility.
