Oshkosh makes Forbes' Best Managed list

Forbes magazine has named Oshkosh Truck to its list of one of the Best Managed Companies in America.

Companies on the list, “exude excellence - in how they're managed and in financial performance," according to Forbes' January 12, 2004 issue. Oshkosh led the Capital Goods category with a five-year average total return of 37.5%, one of 26 industry leaders highlighted in the issue. Companies were ranked on the basis of five-year average total return, long- and short-term sales, as well as other financial measurements.

The 26 best managed companies in America are part of Forbes' annual Platinum 400 list of the Best Big Companies in America, which has included Oshkosh for the past four years.
