Manac produces 20,000th unit at Ontario plant

Manac celebrated on March 18th an important achievement in its history with the fabrication of its 20,000th van at its Orangeville, Ontario, plant. The ceremony presided by Charles Dutil, president and chief operating officer of Manac, was held in front of 288 plant employees, along with county and city officials. The Orangeville plant has been in operation since December 1994 and manufactures steel and aluminum vans, as well as ComboPlate® vans. “When we inaugurated the plant in 1994, our annual production capacity was approximately 3,500 units,” said Charles Dutil, who was general manager at the time. “Today, our production capacity is14,000 units and we operate five plants. We experienced this growth because we could count on a competent and dedicated team who put all of their efforts in fabricating a quality product and providing exceptional service to our customers.” Manac is the largest North American manufacturer of standard and specialty semitrailers. Manac operates three other plants located in Saint-Georges-de-Beauce, Trois-Rivières and Saint-Prime in Québec, and a fourth in Oran, Missouri.
