Mack shows off transmission, engine brake offerings

Mack Trucks Inc. unveiled new transmission and engine brake offerings this week at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The T310 Maxitorque ES transmission is designed primarily for highway applications, but suitable for many on/off highway jobs as well. The 10-speed T310 is available in the Mack Vision, CH and Granite model vehicles. It can be matched with any of Mack’s ASET engines and is ideal for day cab tractors and small to mid-size sleepers. Mack also introduced its PowerLeash engine brake, which is available on all Mack ASET engines. Mack said the PowerLeash brake reaches 420 braking horsepower at 2100 rpm. And delivers a 50% reduction in brake response time.
