Mack deliveries up 6% over last year

Deliveries from Mack Trucks, Inc. through October were up 6% compared with the same period last year, reflecting shipments of vehicles with pre-EPA '02 engines. A total of 21,066 units were shipped worldwide between January and the end of October this year, compared to 19,872 for the same period last year. In North America, the increase was 10% -- from 18,005 to 19,721. Deliveries to South America fell 49%, while also falling 37% to Asia.
