FedEx Freight opens Newburgh terminal

FedEx Freight has opened a new service center in Newburgh, NY, expanding the company's LTL capacity in the northeast.

The facility is about 40 miles north of New York City and is equipped with 120 doors, a three-bay maintenance shop and 8,000-sq.-ft. of office space. It is on a 43-acre site.

President & CEO Douglas G. Duncan said the Northeast has traditionally been a major market for numerous industrial segments, including retail, manufacturing and pharmaceutical.
