Device converts flatbeds to dumps

Heil Environmental Industries has introduced a lift that converts flatbed trucks into dump trucks. Dubbed the 1520 Scissor Hoist, it is compatible with two-axle trucks ranging from GVW Classes 3 to 7 and can be installed with small dump bodies, Heil said.
Heil said that it expects the hoist to be sold mainly as an original equipment option as opposed to a retrofit. The hoist is available at Heil distributors.
The 1520 is rated as a Class 30 hoist by the National Truck Equipment Assn. and can be used in a variety of applications, including delivery and landscaping.
