ConMet inks deal with Walker

Portland, OR-based Consolidated Metco (ConMet) Inc. announced it signed a three-year contract to supply Walker Transportation with wheel hubs and brake drums.
ConMet will equip Walker’s line of tank trailers with its PreSet hubs. ConMet’s CastLite brake drums will be offered as an option.
PreSet hubs feature adjusted bearings designed to simplify installation, improve seal and bearing life and reduce maintenance requirements, ConMet stated.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work with Walker Transportation,” said Larry Sanford, ConMet national sales manager. “Both ConMet and Walker are committed to providing customers with innovative transportation products and services.”
ConMet is a Class 8 truck supplier and a subsidiary of Amsted Industries Inc.
