Trail King Acquired by CC Industries

CC Industries, part of Henry Crown & Co., has acquired trailer manufacturer Trail King. Terms were not disclosed.
CC Industries is the holding and management company for the Crown family’s privately held companies, which includes Great Dane Trailers.
“Trail King is an exceptional company with a long history of excellence,” said Bill Crown, president & CEO of CC Industries. “We are delighted to add Trail King to the Crown family’s portfolio of transportation equipment companies.”
Trail King, with operations in Mitchell, S.D. and West Fargo, N.D., will continue to operate as a stand-alone entity, the company said. Carol Lowe will continue as the company’s president.
“Carol Lowe and the entire management team have fostered a culture of continuous improvement while manufacturing the highest quality solutions in the specialized trailer industry,” Crown said. “And we are excited about working with them in the future.”
With trailers ranging in load capacities from 6,000 pounds to 1,000,000 pounds, Trail King has trailers to serve a wide variety of applications for markets as diverse as construction, agriculture, transportation, waste and recycling, and specialized hauling
