Pressure Systems International, which manufactures the Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI, has expanded its quality-control laboratory and product-testing facility at its San Antonio headquarters.
The expansion adds approximately 240 square feet of floor space to accommodate new equipment for in-house root cause analysis and testing, the company said. Additionally, state-of-the-art equipment and measuring devices have been added to the lab.
“Our quality record is really second to none for products manufactured here in San Antonio,” said Charlie LaFuente, quality control manager/engineer. “But we're never satisfied to rest on past experience.
“Much of this improvement and expansion was to upgrade in-house capabilities to have them closer to the manufacturing floor,” he added.
