Stoughton Trailers has appointed Bill Hasz as sales director to help lead the company’s dealer network across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Most recently, he was director of industrial products/manager of industrial products at Universal Acoustic & Emission Technologies.
Mack Trucks announced that Jonathan M Randall has been appointed senior vice-president for North American sales. Based in Greensboro NC, he will report to Dennis Slagle, Mack president. Randall has 23 years of experience in the heavy-duty commercial vehicle business, and has held senior commercial positions with several original equipment manufacturers.
Polar Tank Trailer announces that Randy Arlt has rejoined the company and been named president. He replaces Jim Painter, who will be retiring from Polar Tank after serving in a transitional role for the remainder of the year. Additionally, Kenny Brown has joined Polar in the role of program manager.
Wabash National Corporation announced that Dave Hill has been hired as vice-president and general manager, Wabash Tank Trailers. Prior to joining Wabash National, he served as general manager at Knapheide Truck Equipment Company. Jay Morfitt has joined the company as director of business development and strategy, Wabash Tank Trailers. Most recently, he was director of strategic planning and marketing for Heil Trailer International/EnTrans International.
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc (MFTA) has promoted Scott Coyle to vice-president, service operations for North America. He will continue to work from MFTA’s Logan Township NJ headquarters. Coyle most recently was director, service operations. MFTA has named Otto Schmid its new director, product management, and he will be based at MFTA’s headquarters in Logan Township. Schmid has worked for the past eight years with Daimler AG, most recently as NAFTA project lead at Customer Services for Daimler Trucks Asia, MFTA’s parent company.
Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc announced that Shaun C Skinner, executive vice-president and general manager, has become president of the company. He replaces Hisao Sasaki, who will return to Isuzu Motors Limited in Japan. Skinner, who joined American Isuzu Motors Inc in June 1987 and moved to the company’s commercial vehicle division in 2002, already serves as president of Isuzu Commercial Truck of Canada.

announces the appointment of James McAuliffe Jr to the positions of president and chief operations officer. McAuliffe most recently was chief financial officer at Rigidized Metals Corporation of Buffalo NY. Jerry Leary, formerly Koike Aronson president and chief executive officer, will remain CEO until March 2017, when he will retire from the company and be replaced as CEO by McAuliffe.
Grote Industries recently named Darren Harmon as OEM regional manager. He comes to the OEM Division from Business Development at Grote and brings 30 years of industry experience to his new role. Grote technical specialist Steve Field has been promoted to the company’s first-ever senior technical specialist position, adding a number of training and managerial responsibilities to his existing role.
INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION PROFILES
The Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) has honored Rob Nissen, director–field service at SAF-Holland, with its Recognized Associates award. A TMC member since 1993, Nissen received the council’s Silver Spark Plug award in 2015. He has served on the Mentor and Member Contact committees and as a judge for the TMCSuperTech competition. Nissen has worked more than 45 years in the trucking industry and 23 at SAF-Holland.
OBITUARIES
, a retired employee of Stellar Industries Inc who resided in Lyons NY, died March 30, 2016, after experiencing complications following hip replacement surgery. He was 73. Marsh joined Stellar in 2008 and was charged with national sales before his retirement in May 2015. Prior to Stellar, he served more than 12 years with Auto Crane, joining that firm as a regional sales manager in October 1997. Services were private and burial was held at Elmwood Cemetery in Lyons. Marsh is survived by four children: Pamela Babcock, Richard Babcock, Stefan Marsh, and Kristine Duranko; and five grandchildren. His wife Linda preceded him in death. Bill Huffaker, who served as secretary/treasurer for Trailer Sales of Tennessee in Nashville TN, died April 15, 2016. He previously served on the National Trailer Dealers Association (NTDA) board of directors, and Trailer Sales of Tennessee is also a charter member of the NTDA. ♦
