Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc (MFTA) has announced the appointment of Bryan C Allen as its new marketing manager responsible for Class 3–5 FUSO Canter FE and FG Series medium-duty work trucks. He previously served for three years as marketing manager for Cone Health, a regional healthcare system based in Greensboro NC.

Mark Leonard

has named Mark Leonard as installation and service manager–Iowa. He has been employed with the company since 2013 as a manufacturing engineer supporting the Ice Control Department. Henderson has named Mike Wyrick as regional sales manager–West. Previously, he served as regional sales manager for both SwapLoader (10 years) and Wired Rite Systems (eight years). Chad Barker has been named regional installation manager–West. He comes to Henderson from its parent company, Douglas Dynamics, where he held several key positions. Henderson has named Jon Sievert senior vice-president, operations. He also comes from Douglas Dynamics, most recently as director of operational excellence.
 

Mike Wyrick

has joined Hercules Manufacturing Company as an administrative assistant in human relations, purchasing, and payroll. She joined the Hercules team as a temporary/seasonal employee in July 2015 and has transitioned to full-time. Prior to joining Hercules, Williams was a photo technician at Walmart.

Chad Barker

has joined Curry Supply as wellness life coach, a newly created position to help employees make better health choices that fit their lifestyle and help motivate them to achieve physical and emotional health goals. Kunstbeck comes to Curry with more than eight years as a personal trainer and service as wellness director of the local YMCA.

​Accuride Corporation announced that global quality organization ASQ has honored Jd Marhevko, vice-president, quality/lean management systems & EHS for Accuride, with its 2015 Howard Jones Award. The award was presented by ASQ’s Quality Management Division (QMD), a 24,000-member organization to which Marhevko has belonged since 1988.

Tina Kunstbeck

announced that Gary Nye recently was appointed director of operations for the company’s Bandag retread business. Most recently, Nye served as senior business operations team leader at Mars Petcare North America.

OBITUARIES

Eldon Jones

, founder of dump body and hoist manufacturer Crysteel Manufacturing in Lake Crystal MN, has died. He was 90. Jones invented the Lo-Boy hoist, and its design went on to become the industry standard for truck hoists. Based on that product, Jones and his wife Helen founded Crysteel in 1969. A year later, a Small Business Administration loan allowed them to open the Crysteel facility in Lake Crystal. In 1980, the company began manufacturing dump bodies based on Jones’ designs. Jones retired as president of Crysteel in 1990, with Helen succeeding him. In 1994, their son Peter became president, and in 2005, Crysteel was acquired by Truck Bodies & Equipment International Inc (TBEI).
