  TRAILER, TRUCK, & BODY OEMs Kögel has appointed Petra Adrianowytsch managing director, a newly created position. She will further concentrate on customer orientation, jointly with Lars Kirchner, authorized officer and sales manager for Germany, and the entire internal and external sales team. Adrianowytsch previously was a managing director in the disposal industry and performed consulting work for Kögel in 2012 and 2013.

Jim Willis

announces the hiring of Jim Willis for its sales team as South regional manager for these states: Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. A resident of the San Antonio TX area, he brings to Hutchens more than 30 years of experience in the heavy-duty industry, primarily on the aftermarket side, with suspensions, controls, and other product categories.

Randy George, a marketing and sales professional with more than 20 years of experience, has joined Betts Company as marketing manager. Before joining Betts, he was business development/senior account executive for Bixly, a software and web application development firm based in Fresno CA.

Meritor Inc has appointed Tim Bauer director, Remanufacturing, North America. Bauer, a 27-year employee of Meritor, was most recently director of Global Undercarriage Products.

Peter Collins has joined the Maxon Lift Corporation sales team and will be focusing his efforts in the Canadian territory. He brings to the firm more than 25 years of transportation experience in sales, truck, and trailer manufacturing, product development, and business strategic planning. Collins is currently serving as president of the Toronto Transportation Club.

VMAC has added Brian Buckley to its outside sales team. He will be serving dealers and end-users directly in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Buckley started his career as a mechanical engineer designing brakes for large industrial equipment.

The Lincoln Electric Company, a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc, has promoted Steven B Hedlund to senior vice-president and president, global automation, effective immediately. Hedlund previously served the company as senior vice-president, strategy and business development.

Auto Truck Group, a work truck upfitter specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of equipment, announces Jeff Mower as its director of railroad sales. He joined Auto Truck in 2005 as assistant manager of operations and has since held roles as parts sales manager and railroad sales manager.

During opening ceremonies for Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2015, Pete Joy, head of sales and marketing at Phillips Industries, was announced as this year’s Hall of Fame recipient. Joy was recognized for the impact he has had in the evolution of the independent aftermarket industry and as one of the early leaders of the HD Aftermarket Suppliers Council, which helped establish HDAW as a venue for independent aftermarket participants.

Craig Kemmerling, director of global sales and business development for Meyer Products LLC, is among the recipients of the 2015 Distinguished Marketing & Sales Awards (DMSA), given annually by Sales and Marketing Executives (SME) of Cleveland OH. Kemmerling, who joined Meyer as a regional sales manager in 2003, was named director of global sales and business development in summer 2014.

Irvin Kontowsky has joined StateWide Windows as operations manager, responsible for day-to-day manufacturing at two plants and 11 manufacturing lines covering 39 product lines. He previously served as warehouse/logistics manager at Reschcor, an Elkhart IN-based plastic extrusion company.

INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION PROFILES

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) held its annual election of officers and governors recently. Tim Myers, president of Alcoa Commercial Vehicle Wheels, was elected chairman of the HDMA board of directors for 2015. Other board officers are vice-chairman Tim Musgrave, president and chief executive officer, Pressure Systems International; second vice-chairman Gary Gerstenslager, president and CEO, Hendrickson International; and immediate past chairman Patrick Cavanagh, president and CEO of Enovation Controls. New HDMA board members are Richard Dauch, president and CEO, Accuride Corp; and Kevin Hawkesworth, president and CEO, Shaw Development.

Accuride Corporation announced that Rick Dauch, its president and chief executive officer, has been elected for a three-year term to the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) board of directors. He has served as president and CEO of Accuride since February 2011 and also has been a member of the HDMA Heavy Duty Business Forum of industry leaders since 2012. In addition to his HDMA roles, Dauch serves as a member of the board of directors of both Spartan Motors Inc and Koch Enterprises Inc. ♦
