NTEA Sets Business and Market Planning Summit

Top U.S. economists will present critical business planning and economic forecast information affecting the work truck and trailer industry at the National Truck Equipment Association’s (NTEA) Business and Market Planning Summit, Oct. 2 at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn.

The Summit will provide attendees with near-term projections, resources and solutions to help them navigate through a shifting economic climate and to aid in developing business plans for industry changes.

The information presented will include truck sales figures, application markets and other economic indicators that will strategically support companies preparing for their next business cycle.

Business and Market Planning Summit Topics and Speakers include:

  • North American Macroeconomic and Regional Forecast: Mark Vitner, Senior Economist & Director of Corporate Investment Banking, Wachovia Corporation    (Charlotte, NC) – Learn the macroeconomic forecasts for the U.S., Canadian, and Mexican economies.

  • U.S. Regional Economic Forecast: Eli Lustgarten, Senior Vice President of Longbow Research (Cleveland, OH) and President of ESL Consultants, Inc. (St. Louis, MO) – Learn forecasts for the various geographic regions of the U.S. and find out how they relate to the macroeconomic forecast.

  • Truck Industry Market Forecast: Kenneth Kramer, Principal, Industry Forecast Practices Group, Global Insight (Eddystone, PA) – Understand the forecast for U.S .truck sales for the work truck and trailer industry.
