NTDA awards four scholarships

Each year, the NTDA provides a scholarship program to help children of NTDA member employees. MeritorWabco, Michelin, HAVCO Wood Products LLC, East Manufacturing Corp., Pitts Trailers, Dynaweld Trailers, Dorsey Trailers and Pressure Systems International generously underwrite the scholarship Program. The NTDA received $850 in individual donations this year to benefit the scholarship fund. The association is also adding a fundraising component to its annual golf tournament to help raise money for next year's scholarship program. By doing so, the NTDA was able to award four scholarships this year.

• A $5,000 scholarship was awarded to Abiden Martinez. Abiden held a 96 out of 100 high school GPA and he plans to study medicine at the University of Texas San Antonio and to become a surgeon. Abiden’s father Baldemar Martinez works for W&B Service Company in Converse, TX

• A $2,500 scholarship was awarded to Tyler Brennecke. Tyler held a 3.88 high school GPA and he plans to study business at Kansas State University. Tyler’s father David Brennecke works for American Trailer and Storage in Kansas City, KS.

• A $2,500 scholarship was awarded to Clay Helvie. Clay held a 3.8 high school GPA and he plans to major in marketing at Indiana University. Clay’s father James Lambert works for Wabash National in Lafayette, IN.

• A $2,500 scholarship was also awarded to Leslie Ringo. Leslie held a 3.6 high school grade average and plans to study pharmacology at Purdue University. Leslie’s father James Ringo works for Great Dane Trailers in Brazil, IN.
