Maxon Breaks Ground For New Facility

Apr 24, 2007 9:20 AM

Coinciding with the celebration of the company’s 50th year in business, Maxon Lift Corporation broke ground on a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

The 325,000-square-foot facility will have 250,000 square feet in the factory and 75,000 square feet of warehouse space. Based on efficiency and layout, the new facility will represent a 100% increase in production capacity. This will allow the company to manufacture a significant volume of liftgates, even for the international market and the nation’s largest fleets. According to Brent Stratton, Member - Office of the President, “The factory will feature cutting-edge machines, processes, paint systems, and material-handling flow. It will be unique in the liftgate industry due to its modernization and high-volume liftgate production capabilities. As far as we know, this will be the largest and the first factory in the world built from the ground up that’s specifically designed for high production liftgate manufacturing.”

Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2007. Customers will be invited to visit the company’s headquarters in California and the new plant during the 2008 calendar year.
