Hendrickson is acquiring the leaf spring and stabilizer product segments of Frauenthal Group.
“This acquisition of this business will enable us to broaden our footprint in Europe to better support our global spring customer base,” said Gary Gerstenslager, president and chief executive officer Hendrickson.
The closing of the transaction will be completed later this year.
According to the signed purchase agreement, Hendrickson’s TBC Netherlands acquires the production sites of the Frauenthal Automotive Sales GmbH in Austria, France and Romania. The Frauenthal production site in Portugal, a facility that produces light-duty springs, is not part of this sale and remains in the Frauenthal Group.
Hendrickson manufactures medium- and heavy-duty mechanical, elastomeric and air suspensions; integrated and non-integrated axle systems; auxiliary lift axle systems; parabolic and multi-leaf springs; and bumper and trim components to the global commercial transportation industry.
