FTR to Hold State of Freight Webinar: Shipper’s Perspectives

As shippers, brokers and carriers gear up for the fall shipping season, FTR economist Noël Perry and rail and intermodal expert Larry Gross will explore what shippers need to know about the current state of the industry during FTR's State of Freight webinar scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. EDT.
 
In this 30-minute webinar, moderated by Jonathan Starks, Director of Transportation Analysis with FTR, Perry and Gross will highlight issues affecting trucking, rail, and intermodal service.
 
Perry will address the current capacity situation, including: Why is there a capacity crisis and how tight is it right now? What are the best ways to control costs and obtain capacity?    
 
Gross will address service issues in rail and intermodal, including: How are the railroads recovering from this winter’s service problems? What is the latest update regarding the west coast port labor situation and other ocean container line issues? What are the key port congestion and drayage issues?
