Fontaine Now Omaha Standard Distribution

Omaha Standard announced that the name of Fontaine Truck Equipment Company, which was acquired last year, has been changed to Omaha Standard Distribution. The ten OSD branches, all of which are full-line truck equipment distributors, are located in Council Bluffs, IA; Birmingham, AL; Indianapolis, IN; Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and, Miami, FL.
Omaha Standard, established in 1926, is a manufacturer of service/utility bodies, platform bodies, hydraulic hoists, hydraulic liftgates, and other equipment for commercial trucks and markets its products through 175 truck equipment distributors across the country.
The company recently moved into a new 210,000-square-foot state-of-the-art manufacturing plant featuring an automotive-type dip tank electrocoat paint system.
